A Night at the Orpheum Theater
Last night, we took a trip to the Orpheum Theater to hear the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra perform live along with the Wizard of Oz. One of the casualties of Hurricane Katrina was the loss of some of our great theaters. Just recently, the Saenger theater reopened and began hosting Broadway in New Orleans again. Bacon Donuts
Today I took a little walk from the Guest House to District Donuts and Sliders, and as usual, it did not disappoint. Today I opted for a large iced coffee, and a bacon maple donut. Yes, you read that right - bacon maple donut. District's Ice Coffee is some of the best in the city -- it comes out of a spicket, like it comes from a keg, and is ice cold brewed.
